Hell gets a little chillier...
Mar. 23rd, 2010 03:59 amSo, this afternoon when I was eating lunch with my relatives, my uncle turned on Rush Limbaugh.
Rush. LIMBAUGH.
I was actually listening to Rush Limbaugh... (*shivers*)
This is why I always feel a little ill at ease with that branch of the family. I love them dearly, but every so often they throw me a curve ball like that that reminds me of the apparent philosophical gulf between us. I always have to watch my step.

Date: 2010-03-23 05:18 pm (UTC)Yeah, I'm not really a talk radio person either. The only thing I ever listen to is Prairie Home Companion -- and while Garrison Keillor's newspaper editorials certainly lean left, there isn't much in the way of politics evident in his Lake Wobegon stories. These days (aside from all the bitchy comments I have to read for work) I'm actually getting most of my news through the BBC -- nice to get it with a little more perspective and a little less partisan rancor and bitter sarcasm. That's what The Daily Show is for (*grin*). CNN is the closest thing to neutral in US cable news, but they try so hard to stay neutral that they seem to spend more time reading twitter posts and playing with fancy technology than actually conveying information -- lol...
