The stuff that makes the world go round...
Aug. 2nd, 2008 12:38 amWell, it took me most of the day, but my financial records (for the account that has my parents' money in it, that is) are finally up to date. Next, the really fun part: going through all my carefully filed and completely organized (*cough*not*cough*) reciepts from the last three years (or at least as many of them as I can find) and figuring out exactly how much of it I have to pay back after I graduate. That's gonna be great. Ah well -- a project for another day. For now, I think I'll read or write for a bit, and then head off to bed. And then get up at a reasonable hour in the morning... (Yeah, yeah -- we've all heard that song and dance before...)
In other news, I just watched the "Ranma Gets Weak" episodes -- and they were way better than I'd remembered. I checked out the fourth season from the library about four or five years ago and watched them, but I hadn't gotten around to buying it until now. Most of the episodes in that season are iffy at best, and since I'd already at least seen them, it sort of got put at the bottom of the list. Anyway, it was the last one I needed to complete my collection, and I found it on sale at Amazon a couple of weeks ago (an official version, too -- not even an import), so I finally bought it. But, yeah -- I know I must have watched these episodes when I checked them out from the library, because I definitely remember seeing the part where he learns the Hiryu Shouten Ha, but other than that I had virtually no memory of anything that happened. And I totally didn't expect the R/A cuteness (*grin*). I'm not sure I can say they're my favorite episodes (Ryugenzawa still holds the top spot), but I think they may have edged the Martial Arts Figure Skating ones out of second place. Gotta find the manga for this arc -- I bet it's even better (since that's usually the case)...
I'm still totally distracted by Richard Ian Cox as Ranma though. There was one moment where Akane is sitting on the ground with her shirt torn and Ranma's red shirt appears in the frame being draped over her shoulder as he says something like, "Here, cover up with this," and I just about did a face-plant into the desk. Reminded me of about twelve different scenes from Inuyasha all at once...
