My Favorite Game!

So, I'm watching "The Fires of Pompeii" (Doctor Who, Series 4 -- that would make it a David Tennant/Catherine Tate episode, for anyone not up to date), because I'm being naughty and avoiding going to bed, so I thought I'd just listen to a commentary track while I putter around the computer a bit. As such, of course, I'm mainly listening and not really watching the episode all that closely -- but I just happen to be looking at the screen when one of the mysterious priestess girls with a veil and a painted face creeps up behind Doc and Donna and spies on them from around the corner, and I realize this particular priestess is suspiciously familiar. I rewind, and sure enough--

It's Amy Pond. LOL...

So, yeah -- either future Amy ultimately ditches the Doctor for a life as a Roman priestess, or Karen Gillian just happened to have a minor role in one of the DT episodes and they figured it was minor enough that no one would notice. I'm guessing probably the latter...but you never know. Rory does have experience as a Roman centurion...

Well, you know, Martha was in the finale for season 2. I have to say I love it when they do that.

Lol -- that's right! I'd forgotten about that. That one was especially weird because she was prominent enough in the story that I remembered her character's role in the episode, but it didn't even occur to me that it had been her until I actually saw it a second time (after having watched the following season)...
