Sep. 8th, 2006 10:03 pmHi all! I know I don't really post here much anymore, and I don't even know if anyone who might be interested would still be monitoring this -- but just in case, I'm putting this out there:
I'm a moderator at the Inuyasha Fan Guild (a yahoo group that has been awarding outstanding fanfiction by popular vote since 2002), and in an effort to raise the quality of our nominations we are currently creating a body within the group called the Quality Committee. It is the job of this committee to screen all nominated fics in order to ensure that they all conform to Guild standards in terms of grammar, spelling, and overall quality (and of course also to look for miscategorizations, signs of plagiarism, and other such issues). The committee members don't have the power to disqualify nominations, but any fics found to be lacking can be submitted to the Challenge Committee for further consideration and possible disqualification. More detailed information about this committee can be found in the "files" section of our main site (here is the link to the site itself: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/iyfanguild/ ). Anyway, if anyone here might be interested in being a part of this venture, we encourage you to come and submit an application -- we can use all the help we can get!
Thanks!

Date: 2006-12-31 01:02 am (UTC)I was just out wandering around at FF... and followed a thread... which connected to another thread... and led me here! So I'm saying "Hullow there, dearie!" before I meander off again... just going about my business. If you're interested, drop by my journal. It tends to be a busy place! ::wink::
