(*grin*) Okay, so I was just glancing at people's entries on my friends list (since I was bored, and I haven't looked at them in forever), and peef used the word "otaku," which is a term that, of course, I've come across many times, though I only have a vague definition of what it means. So anyway, determined to get a firm definition once and for all, I copy-pasted it into Dictionary.com and, much to my surprise...there actually was one! It reads as follows:

Main Entry:	otaku
Part of Speech:	noun
Definition:	an avid collector or enthusiast, esp. one who is obsessed anime, video games, or computer and rarely leaves home
Etymology:	Japanese `house'
Usage:	derogatory slang

Unfortunately, according to that definition, I probably am otaku. Well, minus the video games part. And though I love my computer dearly, I don't know the first friggin' thing about how it works (my rule is "if something goes wrong, turn it off and let it take a little nap..."). Plus, my obsessions go far beyond the realm of anime -- I embrace obsessions of all national origins. So maybe I'm only part otaku... (*grin*)
