So, I just finished watching a romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock as a very lonely woman with no family who finds herself fake-engaged to a man she doesn't know very well, subsequently gets absorbed into his large and welcoming family (which includes a grandmother with heart issues who will very likely die if she finds out the truth, and a father who has some issues with his son regarding the son's reluctance to inherit the family business), and who ultimately has a change of heart and finds herself stopping her own wedding ceremony to turn to the family and explain the true situation before leaving her "fiance" at the altar. Now, what movie was I watching? While You Were Sleeping, right?
Eeeengh! Wrong. It was The Proposal... (*grin*)
Weird how similar they sound when you pull out these key details though, isn't it? Actually, they're really quite different (at least as different as any two romantic comedies can be) -- but I definitely had some strong feelings of deja vu when she turned around to make her little speech in the middle of the wedding ceremony. Wonder if she did too...lol...
