I've had an 'Inuyasha' day today, I guess. I just watched The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass (the second movie) this afternoon for the first time, and have officially decided that it is the best movie ever (well, at least until I watch the movie "Love, Actually," again, which I have a habit of calling "the best movie ever" as well. And then there's "Gladiator," and "Pirates of the Caribbean," and the Kenneth Branaugh version of "Hamlet"...but still, it's *really* good...). Not only does it contain the famed kiss, but it also had numerous other excellent scenes as well (Inuyasha and Kagome arguing in a photo booth, for one), and kept the tension high throughout. I love it!!

Besides that, I found out today that my fanfic "Missing in Action" won second place for Best Romance on a relatively new website called Moushiyou. Cool, huh? And the one that won first was Terri Botta's "The Lucky Ones," which, though I've never read it (it got kicked off ff.net before I had a chance), is one that I've heard a *lot* of good things about. Not to mention, that one is finished (I believe), whereas MIA is only about half done (I'm sooo slow). By the way, any inufic readers out there who know where I could find "The Lucky Ones"? Or has it just disappeared altogether? Eh, I'll ask in my next Author's Note (since there'll probably be more people reading that than this...).

Finally, I discovered that, on that same website, Inuphoria (the owner of the site) has written a little blurb about my newest fic, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen." It's just a little Christmas Carol parody I'm working on to keep my brain from freezing on my bigger fics (since it's always easier to write a parody than an original AU), but I thought it was cool that someone actually liked it enough to mention it. (*grin*)

Well, tonight I'm going to see the movie "Phantom of the Opera," which looks exceptionally cool (maybe it'll even unseat Inu-chan from his precarious position as "best ever" from this afternoon, if it's good enough...we'll see). I love musicals with darkness and tension in them, like Les Miserables (which actually is my favorite musical of all time, for real this time. Maybe if I get into Steinhardt at NYU, I'll get to play Eponine one day. A girl can dream...), and Martin Guerre, and Rent (yes, yes, slightly different vein from the other two, but still, excellent show. Rock + Opera = what could be better?). Anyway, if I'm going to be ready in time to leave I'd better shut up and get going...TTFN

Hello there. ^_^ I've been reading your stories on ff.net for a while, and I found your lj link in your bio... so... hi!

You can read The Lucky Ones on MediaMiner. It's still by Terri Botta, and under the same title. =) It's worth the read, I think you'll like it.

You saw Phantom of the Opera? Did you like it? ^_^ I thought they did a good job, actually.

Bye and enjoy your day! (Good luck on college applications...hee...)

Hi! You know, I checked mediaminer, but I couldn't seem to find it. But then, the mediaminer search engine sometimes has a habit of not finding things that are actually there, and I didn't go digging much further than that, so maybe I'll try again.

Phantom of the Opera was excellent! I've never seen an Andrew Lloyd Weber musical that I actually, truly liked before this (though, granted, I haven't seen many -- but I know some of the music to several). His songs have just struck me as being a bit bland sometimes. It's like he's not quite dark and edgy enough to be Les Mis, and not quite bright and happy enough to be Rodgers and Hammerstien -- but I *loved* Phantom. Music of the Night was to die for -- not to mention All I Ask of You...(*sigh*)

(and the guy who played the Phantom was actually quite good-looking until he took the mask off... *grin*)

xD "All I Ask of You" is my faaaaaavorite song... To tell the truth, I'm not a big Webber fan either, but I absolutely love Phantom. (And yes he was... although I liked Raoul better =P hee)

I'll send you the link to The Lucky Ones as soon as mm.org starts working again. I can't even access the main page at the moment. Go figure, lol. I think Terri Botta also mentioned it being on adultfanfiction.net (or was it .com? I can't recall) so if all else fails, you can try that. ^_^

So you're a Les Mis fan, huh? =) I saw it for the first time this summer, and although I wasn't too keen on it at first, as it progressed, I nearly died of happiness. ^_^ You're a singer, right? That's so cool...

Yes, Raoul was very cute, but I think I was sort of prejudiced against him from the start. I've seen too many movies where the guy in his position is the bad guy, so I guess I jumped to the Gaston/Duc de Monroth (from Moulin Rouge)/King Westley (from It Happened One Night) sort of conclusion about him. It took me awhile to get past that -- and besides, the Phantom reminded me of Inu-chan (not looks-wise, of course, but the whole "rejected by society" thing...and when he was in that cage, with the bag over his head -- how horrible!)

That'd be awesome if you could send me the link! I didn't think to check aff.net, though -- maybe I'll try that as well, in case mm.org is still acting up.

Les Mis is my favorite! I saw it on the West End in London a few years ago, and I've loved it ever since. It can be a bit slow at times, but it's worth the wait for songs like "On My Own" (*my* favorite song ever) and the 24601 fugue and such. And yep, I am a singer (*grin*). If I'm lucky, I'll be studying music at NYU next year, but we'll see...

Uh, just FYI -- that "anonymous" post was me. I forgot to click the little "logged in user" button (which I realized when I received an email telling me about the post that *I* had written). Oops...(*grin*)
