Keane
I saw Keane at the Quest tonight with my cousin and our au pair -- it was awesome! Having never been to a club before, it was definitely a new experience for me, in addition to being a great concert (seeing a band live makes a (i)huge(/i) difference). It was sort of a last minute decision, and of course it was sold out, but we managed to get three tickets from a woman in line for a pretty good price, and luckily they weren't carding people unless they intended to drink (I'm about a month shy of 18), so we all got in. Monica and I had a bit of difficulty seeing the stage, since neither of us is very tall, and there always seemed to be these big guys standing in front of us. I was able to see around people occasionally though -- and my cousin is really tall, so he lifted us each up a couple of times so we could see. (*grin*)
Oh, and just as we were leaving, these big bouncer guys pushed past us with this guy who had somehow made it backstage and was now being thrown out. It was so cool! I know -- I sound like an idiot, but like I said, I've never done anything like that before. I lead a very sheltered life...(*grin*)
Well, my feet hurt like hell (it was standing room only -- very (i)close(/i) standing room...), and all my clothes smell like smoke, but it was definitely worth it.
